We are on the road, a lot. I spend a LOT of hours in the passenger seat of a Chevy Van. Luckily, we have the van comfily (hope that's a word) set up for work and for leisure and we have ample storage to bring all that we need.

Here are a few of my must-haves when it comes to long hours in a vehicle.

Ugh, I cannot say enough times how much I LOVE my water bottle. We have 4 Owala FreeSip's that go pretty well anywhere and everywhere we go. On a chill, sip vibe? Use the straw and sip! Need water ASAP?? You can CHUG too. Whatever the mood is, my Owala is ready. I am impatiently patiently waiting for a red on red on red, all red everything one - but they do have some cuuuuute color schemes already available. I highly recommend everyone has at least one Owala. You can get your own here .

LOL, yessss, I am very much so *~*about my dranks*~*, that'll get pretty damn obvious soon. I'm not usually too picky about name brand things - but I will always stand by my Yeti TUMBLER (not too sold on their coolers to be honest). 9 times out of 10, I have my red Yeti cup filled with caffeine within arm's length at any given moment. I can fill it with an iced coffee and don't judge me but it will still be an iced coffee tomorrow if I forget to drink it . as long as the lid is on AND closed* (key point there). I do have an amazing Yeti cup accessory invention/idea that I tried to pitch to them, but they didn't want to hear it lol. Regardless of that though, I love my Yeti and if you want your own Yeti Tumbler so you can have the same cup of iced coffee to last hours/days - click here.

While I take pride in my Passenger Princess role - I am absolutely a victim of motion sickness lol. Especially in a car, for long hours, when I'm snacking and I'm DJ. I'll just be blunt - I've been a puker fighting nauseousness since I was a child. Cars, planes, boats, iMAX theaters (LOL), you name it. Dramamine is an absolute necessity and it does the job - at least for me. As long as I time my Dramamine-taking correctly, I'm good for any adventure! You can find Dramamine at almost any gas station or convenience store - but if you like the extra convenience of ordering it straight to your porch, you can click here.

My for sure, absolutely least favorite part about nature is damn bug bites. Not sure why my iron deficient blood is so tasty to mosquitoes, but anytime we are outside I am pretty guaranteed to get eaten up. These repellent bracelets are deet free which I am here for. They don't 100% keep them away but they definitely help. I usually keep one of these around my wrist or my ankle. This same brand also makes Mosquito repellent stickers which I equally like just as much. Start repelling skeeters with your own bracelets by clicking here .

A peppermint roll on of some sort will almost always end up on my lists because I use it so often. I will forever rant and rave about the magic of rolling some peppermint oil on my forehead when I have a headache, and on my tummy when my stomach hurts or I'm nauseous - so this is a guaranteed roadtrippin' essential. BUT - additionally, I have noticed that mosquitoes and bugs don't find peppermint too appealing - so it kind of helps (me) with repelling bugs too! If you're interested in smelling like peppermint which results in mosquitoes finding you less attractive, you can click here to grab your own roller.

I'm sure there are so many amazing skin care products out there to keep your face looking alright, and if I wasn't so prone to allergic reactions I'd probably be a lot more experimental. But Thayers Witcch Hazel pads have been one of my favorites since high school. Whether I'm taking my make up off at the end of the night or just refreshing my greasy face after sitting in a car for 24+ hours - I use these. I'm kind of addicted to the cool, exfoliated feeling after using a couple of these on my smug mug. Unless you're a nay-THAYER(wink wink and a elbow nudge) - you can get some of these here.

I love blankets, hoodies, onesies, and all things comfy. This hoodie-onesie-blanket is by far my favorite because it's cute, warm, and has sleeves AND a hood. If you see a Chevrolet van rollin down the highway with a shark in the passenger seat holding a jar of pickles and a bag of chips - it's probably me lol. Match my OOTRT (outfit of the road trip lol) and get your own Shark Hoodie-Onesie-Blanket-Sleeping Bag here.

This is honestly one of my most favorite accessories I own and THAT is adulting lol. My laptop lap desk goes everywhere with us and I am actually pretty proud of all the different campsites, national parks, rest stops, gas stations, beaches, and parking lots that I've made my office cubicle just by using this little lap desk in the front seat of our van. Working remote is a blessing but I wouldn't be able to do it without this thing. It's essential for work but I also use it to draw (both on the iPad or in a sketchbook), and not gonna lie - it makes eating fast food on the road pretty helpful too lol. My laptop lap desk is now slapped with stickers but if you want your own brand-new, go-anywhere, lap desk; you can click here.

Having Lupus has definitely made me more of a germaphobe so we always have all the things like hand sanitizer, wet wipes, cleaning spray, etc. We recently added these to our traveling essentials. They are perfect to spray in the van when we need a little refreshing of the air (especially right after eating fast food while driving lol. Sometimes after I stuff my face with food while we're driving, the last thing I want to do is be super full and still smell what I just ate). These have also became a part of our checking-into-a-hotel ritual lol. We don't even give the hotel room a chance anymore, we just open the door spraying. I've grown to love this smell and even if "air sanitizing" is slightly psychosomatic - I am here for it. And if you are too, you can click here for a super affordable 3 pack.

I saved the "weird" for last, but totally the best for last, as well. This. Is. A. Lifesaver. It's called an EllaPee, but we've adopted the names She-Wee, and Charlie SHE-ner. I didn't want to just jump right into the TMI topic - but this has changed the entire roadtrippin' game for me. I used to DREAD stopping in at a random side-of-the-road gas station, hoping their toilet wouldn't be too bad. NOW, I can pee into that toilet without ever having to squat or sit down HAHA. I don't even have to USE that toilet!! I can pee into a Gatorade bottle in the back of the van like J does LOL. Seriously though, I apologize for any awkwardness this topic might cause, but I absolutely hate needing to pee with SHITTY facilities options - pun intended. I bring my EllaPee to concerts, festivals, camping, and anywhere else I go where I will probably not be super excited to empty my bladder. Rave/festival porta potties (spell check) are some of the most unfortunate "bathrooms" I have ever been to. I literally used to ask J to cram INTO the porta potty with me, so he can hold me up by my armpits because sometimes my pee-time clocked in way longer than weak, little Me could hold my squat-position LOL. Now?? We wish each other luck as we walk into our own porta potties and I do the damn thang on my own. I am so grateful for my EllaPee. Change your life, girls, and click here . And then reach out and we can exchange funny stories about all the bizarre places we've peed (standing up).
