DECIMAL POINT

decimal point's story
APRIL 2024 — THE FIRST DREAM
I met him in a dream. He said his name was Decimal Point.
He was really nice, so I drew him when I woke up so that I'd never forget him.
In my dream, I was in a really dark hallway with multiple doors—almost like a hotel hallway. I could see a strip of light underneath each door, but they were all locked.
Decimal Point was standing near a door, wayyy down the hallway, using one of his tentacles to point at it. He kept gently telling me that everything was okay, that he lived there in the darkness, and that he knew the door he was pointing to was unlocked. He just couldn't open it because of his tentacles.
He kept showing me the floral patterns on his tentacles and saying:
“Look, I'm not mean! I like flowers and I like pretty things, even if I'm not!”
He was calling me over in the same gentle way you would call over a cute little baby animal lol.
I finally mustered up the courage to walk over and open the door. It led to the top of some really steep stairs. I thought it was a setup, so I tried to run past him—but he blocked my exit path and begged me to trust him.
He helped me down the stairs, where we found one more door.
I opened it, and on the other side was a beautiful, sunny, grassy day where Jordan and our dog Romeo were hanging out.
I turned back to look at Decimal Point. He waved goodbye with his tentacle and disappeared into the darkness as the door faded away.
Also—his third eye was the only one that blinked, and sometimes he had braces, but other times he didn't.
OCTOBER 2025 — THE SECOND DREAM
Last night, I saw Decimal Point again.
In my dream, I was sitting on a white couch in a high-rise apartment overlooking some body of water. It was dark outside, and there was a large stain of freshly spilled red wine on the couch.
The apartment felt really eerie—as if something really evil had happened there.
The place wasn't familiar to me, so I started walking around. I went into the bathroom, where I saw Decimal Point in the mirror.
He seemed like he was crying.
He was tapping on the mirror, asking me to get him out because he really wanted to travel instead of “being here.”
I didn't know how to help him.
I woke up before I could figure it out.
If Decimal Point wanted to travel, I figured I'd find a way to help him.
Now, every time someone takes anything with Decimal Point on it home, he gets to go somewhere new and see the world<3
